    Forbes Travel Guide seeks a West Coast-based incognito hospitality field evaluator to work on its annual star ratings and Hospitality Solutions client evaluations. Since 1958, Forbes Travel Guide's professional team of evaluators has visited and rated hotels (and later restaurants and spas) across the globe, providing travelers with the best information on where to stay, dine, spa and sightsee.

    The Field Evaluator will be responsible for gathering all information required to conduct and complete an anonymous evaluation of assigned hotel, restaurant and/or spas. The Field Evaluator must remain incognito and maintain a professional and appropriate demeanor on behalf of FTG. Though the ideal candidate will be based on the West Coast in the U.S., the position involves extensive domestic and international travel.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Execute unannounced incognito evaluations by objectively answering pre-determined standards and submitting report to home office; writing style of reports is straightforward, factual

    - Manage travel itinerary based on assignment; complete evaluations in cost-effective manner, following departmental policies and procedures

    - Maintain meticulous notes regarding property and logistics to assist evaluation planning department in future execution

    - Communicate effectively with colleagues and home office to ensure timely and accurate reporting; regular communication required with Atlanta-based headquarters as well as international team members

    - Position requires consumption of food and drink as required for evaluation purposes

    - Evaluator must be located near major airport for cost-conscious, flexible travel

    - Weekend/weekday; international/domestic travel required

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    - Hospitality experience (luxury hospitality experience preferred)

    - Strong writing skills required; experience or familiarity with luxury travel and writing about travel, spa, food, wine, style or design preferred

    - Knowledge of AP Style

    - Low profile; preferred candidates do not have prominent social media personalities or an online presence connecting them to the industry, including bylines. Chosen candidates will be required to maintain a low profile and possibly reduce their online profiles.

    - Ability to multitask and handle significant daily deadlines

    - Extremely organized, mature, self-motivated and independent worker

    - Detail orientated with a strong ability to keep meticulous records and prepare accurate reports both manually and through electronic channels

Ideal candidates will be based in the Asia-Pacific region and have a knowledge of Mandarin and/or Cantonese. Qualified candidates in other regions with similar knowledge can be considered. Since 1958, Forbes Travel Guide's professional team of evaluators has visited and rated hotels (and later restaurants and spas) across the globe, providing travelers with the best information on where to stay, dine, spa and sightsee.

    The field evaluator will be responsible for gathering all information required to conduct and complete an anonymous evaluation of assigned hotel, restaurant and/or spa as well as gathering information for ForbesTravelGuide.com and social media platforms. The field evaluator must remain incognito and maintain a professional and appropriate demeanor on behalf of FTG.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Evaluate properties by objectively answering pre-determined standards and submitting report to home office
    - Manage travel itinerary based on assignment; complete evaluations in cost-effective manner, following departmental policies and procedures
    - In conjunction with each unannounced evaluation report, submit photographs and information to be used by ForbesTravelGuide.com and social media outlets
    - Maintain meticulous notes regarding property and logistics to assist evaluation planning department in future execution
    - Communicate effectively with colleagues and home office to ensure timely and accurate reporting
    - Execute a minimum of five trips/audits (each audit could contain any combination of hotel, restaurant, and spa evaluations) per month — depending on back-to-back and other assigned work. The typical expectation of travel is a minimum of 15 days per month. International/domestic travel may be required weekends/weekdays.
    - Respond to home office questions in a timely manner; communicate quickly during editorial workflow following submission of report
    - Availability and/or flexibility to travel as requested by FTG on a monthly basis
    - Attend meetings, typically teleconferenced, as required
    - Manage personal travel logistics in a budget-conscious manner, following departmental policies and procedures

    Forbes Travel Guide seeks a Coordinator to join its growing Atlanta-based team working on the editorial reviewing and analysis of field evaluation reports. The Coordinator is responsible for administrative work regarding the editorial compilation of materials related to client-facing evaluation reports for hotels, restaurants and spas. The person in this position will research, compile, execute and record all matters related to each evaluation report produced by a team of incognito field evaluators, providing quality reviews for both in-house and in-the-field colleagues.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Manage the compilation, production and delivery of assigned client-ready hotel, restaurant and spa reports in a timely manner
    - Review photos and standard scores for accuracy; ensure grammatical clarity in reports
    - Record and maintain thorough feedback on the field evaluator team to increase quality and efficiency of the end product
    - Participate in ongoing editorial and evaluation workshops and training as required

    The Executive Trainer is a dynamic individual who combines a successful and in‐depth training background with demonstrated strengths in hospitality, public speaking, relationship building and delivery of an exceptional learning and development product for Forbes Travel Guide. This role requires executing contracted hotel, restaurant and spa training to properties around the globe; a considerable working knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide standards and star‐rated properties; acting as a representative and ambassador of Forbes Travel Guide at all times; and enhancing and creating additional resources for the Learning and Development training library. The Executive Trainer will also assist with creating programs for current and ongoing clients, as well as continued enhancement of Learning and Development offerings.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Perform a defined number of hotel, restaurant and spa training sessions to hospitality clients around the globe
    - Conduct classroom training to departmental groups within each client property to represent and interpret the Forbes Travel Guide standards for hotel, spa and restaurant ratings
    - Communicate both internally and externally as necessary for training preparations; work with the client to determine agenda, recommended attendance and overall logistical planning
    - Facilitate training classes with sensitivity to group dynamics and current star-rating level to create a positive and motivating learning environment
    - Do follow‐up consultation with the client to determine future needs in regards to trainings or evaluations; provide integral support in retaining and obtaining future business

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    - Must be fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese

    The software engineer will be responsible for helping to build and maintain two enterprise-level websites by delivering high-quality software solutions as well as learning and contributing to the development of future features and technology products.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Work with team and product stakeholders to evaluate new product requirements and propose software solutions
    - Implement and deliver the solutions to satisfy requirements. Most often, you will work under some guidance with experienced team members, but are expected to learn quickly. May work on multiple projects at once.
    - Debug/test software. It may be required that you work directly with end users to identify the problem.
    - Improve the quality of existing software by proposing enhancements
    - Study and assess new software development tools and techniques
