There’s always an excuse for a party at Barnsley Resort, which holds regular holiday events for its guests. Christmastime brings a non-denominational service in the Town Hall, complete with a reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, as well as cookies and hot chocolate at Santa Bingo and a party where you can dress up as Whos for games with the Grinch in honor of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. New Year’s Eve is always greeted with an evening of music and dancing at the event Pavilion in the center of the village. For Easter, the Forbes Travel Guide recommended hotel boils more than 1,000 eggs for its egg-decorating class and hosts a crafting session so you can decorate Easter hats — everything from frilly bonnets to cowboy hats makes the cut. On Easter morning, join the sunrise service at the center lawn.
Rarely does a holiday pass without a special event for Barnsley Resort guests. For holidays including Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we offer decadent traditional meals as well as family-friendly activities like carriage rides and scavenger hunts. At Easter weekend, our fairy godmother always hosts an egg hunt and Easter bonnet crafting session, plus we have a beautiful sunrise service on Easter morning. At Thanksgiving and Christmas, we hold events such as wreath making, gingerbread crafting and a Christmas Eve service in our Town Hall. Valentine’s Day weekend is always a big affair for us as well, with special dining options and music to help couples celebrate together.
