The dessert menu varies slightly at Woodlands Grill, one of the two main restaurants at Barnsley Resort, but it tends to be full of familiar favorites that take advantage of seasonal fruits and berries. Expect to find classics such as warm peach crisp with vanilla bean ice cream or a chocolate cookie sundae with ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. There’s a lot to like for sauce lovers, with a caramel-topped carrot cake and a strawberry sauce that lightens up the double chocolate cake. Key lime pie arrives with colorful swirls of tart green and red fruit sauce as well. A selection of ice creams and sorbets rounds out the straightforward menu of well-known desserts.
Woodlands Grill desserts are a bit Southern and built to please. Our menu includes old favorites like Key lime pie, chocolate pecan pie and a giant chocolate chip cookie served with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate and caramel sauces — a longstanding favorite. The menu is rounded out with light offerings of sorbet.
