What are the private dining rooms like at Woodlands Grill and Rice House?

The private dining rooms at Woodlands Grill and Rice House are generally best for small groups, but the spacious Tozia banquet room in Woodlands Grill can seat up to 40 guests. It accommodates a large, U-shape table and projector for business meals, and offers a sprawling view of the golf course and surrounding foothills of Barnsley Resort. The Wine Library, Woodlands Grill’s main private dining room, stays true to the English country lodge aesthetic of the restaurant. With hunter-green wainscoting and a matching sideboard occupying one entire wall — filled with bottles of wine and single malt Scotch — the room hosts regular wine tastings and can accommodate up to 14 guests. Rice House has two private dining options for groups of 10 or fewer: the Rose Room, an intimate room with hardwood floors, burgundy walls, white wainscoting and a brick fireplace, and the Lily Room, a meadow-facing room accented by painted porcelain dishes on the walls and long views of the meadow and historic ruins on the grounds of the Forbes Travel Guide recommended hotel.

The main private dining room at Woodlands Grill is the intimate Wine Library. Lined with wine-filled shelves and glass French doors on two sides, it seats a maximum of 12. The Wine Library is available for reservation or, if not reserved, can be used for larger parties at the managers’ discretion.
