The price for a dinner at Rice House at Barnsley Gardens Resort will vary with your appetite — the menu is exclusively à la carte — but ordering an appetizer and main course will cost you $50 (wine not included). Small plates hover near $11 with salads, savory tarts and soups, but stretch to $16 for a butter poached Maine lobster tail filled with scallop and shrimp mousse. Rich entrées such as the sautéed Muscovy duck breast with black pepper foie gras sauce ring in at a reasonable $26, but prices rise for seasonal game specials that include seared venison loin with roasted shallots, asparagus and Yukon gold potatoes ($36). The wine list, which is identical to the list at Woodlands Grill (the other restaurant at the Forbes Travel Guide recommended hotel), includes $12 wines by the glass and a wide range of wines by the bottle.
The price range for a meal at Rice House is $18 to $38.
