If Vegas conjures images of showgirls, then look to Bally’s, which offers the quintessential showgirl sensation, Donn Arden’s Jubilee! Like the show, Bally’s epitomizes classic Vegas with its center-Strip location and traditional-style guest rooms (think floral bedspreads instead of duvets). The beige-on-beige décor can feel a bit dated, but the rooms are comfortable and the floor-to-ceiling windows provide nice views of the Strip. The North Tower rooms have been renovated more recently, so be sure to specify when you book. Eight tennis courts (illuminated for night play) and access to two nearby golf courses motivates those who thought they’d spend all their time at the pool (which isn’t a bad plan B, especially if you secure one of the luxe cabanas). Movie buffs may remember Bally’s as the spot where Nicholas Cage and the Flying Elvis’ skydivers landed in the film Honeymoon in Vegas.
