Our Inspector's Highlights
• The Oriental Spa’s long list of body treatments includes everything from traditional Thai, Swedish and Balinese massages to unique signature experiences.

• The Oriental Organic Journey is a heavenly 2.5-hour escape that includes a body scrub, custom hair treatment, steam and massage with rice milk cream.

• Our absolute favorite body treatment is the Freedom, a blissful three-hour treat highlighted by a deep-tissue massage, facial and full-body exfoliation.

• Spa-going couples are well-catered to with a variety of half- to full-day packages delivered in one of four specialty suites designed for two.

• All treatments at the Bangkok spa can be extended with an optional 30-minute foot or back-and-shoulder massage after the main service has concluded.
Things to Know
• To access the spa, take a short cruise on a private ferry from its parent hotel Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.

• The Bangkok sanctuary is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the day’s last treatment beginning no later than 8:30 p.m.

• Whether you just want to squeeze in a 60-minute massage or splurge on a seven-hour spa extravaganza, it’s best to book in advance — it would be a shame to miss out on an experience as blissful as this.
The Treatments
• Most of this spa’s massages are available in either 60- or 90-minute sessions, though the Thai massage can be booked for up to two hours.

• The jetlag massage is ideal for those recovering from a long journey to Bangkok, but if you’re battling particularly achy muscles, you might opt for the Balinese or muscle-release massage, both of which are deep-pressure treatments designed to rid you of those nagging knots.

• Four Ayurvedic massages are also offered, including the pampering Synchronized Keraleeya Abhyangam that sees not one but two therapists working their magic in tandem, while gentlemen can enjoy any of three different treatments created with their specific needs in mind.
