If you’re not a seafood lover, consider yourself warned: There’s not much else on
the menu here. People who hate to wait should also take notice: Service to the
eight tables in this minuscule, loft-like space can be agonizingly slow. Everyone
else, prepare to be blown out of the water by the delicious seafood menu. A cold
raw bar platter might include marinated Olde Salt clams, Nova Scotia mussels and
sweet Dungeness crab—all clean-flavored and simple. The rest of the menu is more
dressed-up—creamy burrata cheese, sweet Banyuls vinaigrette and pistachio oil
paired with lobster and beets seems over the top, but it’s divine, while the rich,
bacon-laced, seafood-packed chowder is a cold-weather joy. The Belgian-focused
beer list is almost as impressive as the wonderful, world-spanning whites on the
wine list.
