Jia is really four restaurants in one. And while the main dining room is hip, modern and sophisticated, Noodles at Jia is a noodle bar that’s more casual and lively. In fact, the seats at Noodles’ teppanyaki grill are great places to be to see a chef cook in front of you, often with purposeful flare-ups of flame, in a spirited, almost performance art kind of manner. For the majority of Jia diners, though, it is an elegant fine-dining experience in a fairly quiet, contemporary and Asian-influenced space. With glass “flames,” light fixtures resembling smoldering candles, a waterfall entrance and a healthy amount of exposed teak, it all has a pronounced natural feel.
