Pastry chef Jared Bacheller leads the pastry team at L’Espalier. Bacheller found his passion for culinary arts at a young age, as his mother ran a cake company when he was growing up. He studied baking and pastry at The Culinary Institute of America and started his career with Ritz-Carlton. Joining L'Espalier as an assistant pastry chef, Bacheller was tutored by previous head pastry chef and mentor Jiho Kim. You’ll have a hard time deciding whether you should take a photo of the masterpiece on a plate or eat it — but eat it you should, and be rewarded by the delicate flavors of such concotions as black forest cherry vanilla pudding or chocolate macadamia bread pudding.
