With a name like Caesars, you’d expect a bit of Roman excess—but that’s an understatement, considering the Palace’s 85 acres, 26 restaurants, five (soon to be six) towers and three pools. Your only problem will be deciding where to go first. The original circular casino is still popular and offers a 14,000-square-foot poker room and a Pussycat Dolls-themed area with go-go dancers performing in bronze cages. No matter which of the five towers you retreat to, your room is guaranteed to give a lesson in tasteful opulence with plush linens, modern décor, LCD TVs (including one embedded in the bathroom mirror) and oversized walk-in showers with dual rain showerheads. A sixth tower, the Octavius, is expected to open in spring 2009 with 665 guest rooms that include the latest in amenities. The Forum Tower is also expected to undergo a renovation of its existing guest rooms as part of the project. Until then, the Augustus Tower has the newest and most up-to-date rooms, with views of the Garden of the Gods pool complex or the Strip.
