The rooms at Forbes Travel Guide Recommended French Quarter Inn are classic colonial. The 50-room hotel has so much character in its common areas that it couldn’t help but spill over into the private quarters. The traditional guest rooms may be the most modest out of the property’s roster, but they still do a magnificent job of keeping with the hotel’s classical French motif with Parisian-themed prints and wonderfully carved beds outfitted with high-thread-count Italian linen. The junior and full suites offer a bit more square footage and a few more eye-catching amenities, namely the private balcony looking out to the market or across to St. Phillip’s steeple. A recently completed multimillion-dollar bathroom renovation project across the whole property only enhances the shimmer — upgrades include Italian marble flooring, automatic de-fogging mirrors and high-end Kohler faucets.
