The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island boasts miles of biking and jogging trails — 32 miles of biking and jogging trails in all. These trails wind through the tropical grounds and throughout Kiawah Island, passing tennis courts, golf courses and lagoons to give you a lot more to look at than just the outside of a track or a treadmill TV. Observation decks also dot the paths and provide great stopping points to catch your breath with beautiful views of Kiawah Island to enjoy — though you might have your breath taken away, given the lush scenery. A trail map is provided for you upon check-in and displays all the jogging routes and their specified lengths to and from the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel to help you reach your mileage goals. Keep in mind that these jogging routes share double-duty with bikers as well, and biking is a very popular activity on Kiawah Island — so keep a lookout for other guests on the paths while you reach your mileage goals.
We have over 10 miles of hard-packed sand beach directly out the door of The Sanctuary, perfect for running. Plus, we have over 30 miles of bike/running trails throughout the island.
