A romantic Charlotte boutique hotel
The Dunhill Hotel is unlike the other hotels in Uptown, not to mention those in much of Charlotte. While buildings throughout the Queen City and especially Uptown were razed in favor of erecting massive towers featuring luxury hotel suites, The Dunhill maintained its historic elegance by restoring rather than tearing down its inherent character and beauty. It’s because of this that The Dunhill remains one of the most intimate and romantic hotels in North Carolina. While the décor leans traditional with antiques and dark wood paneling throughout, the amenities are modern such as the high-speed Wi-Fi, HD flat-screen televisions, and Keurig coffee stations in each room. Thymes bath products, luxurious monogrammed bathrobes, and marble walk-in showers with spa showerheads round out the modern touches that were added throughout the years. With the addition of adjacent Harvest Moon Grille in 2010 — which serves as the hotel’s restaurant — The Dunhill quickly became a destination for foodies in search of upscale farm-to-table fare.
