The gym at Waldorf Astoria Chicago — which is called the health club here — is a spacious and pleasant place to get in a workout. The room has high ceilings and fans to kept the air cool and fresh. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel's gym includes Matrix treadmills, elliptical machines and two types of bikes,  each equipped with its own touch-screen TV. Two full sets of weights are neatly arranged in order of weight size on a rack. The gym also includes six pieces of Matrix strength-training machines, as well as two stability balls and two types of medicine balls. The room is arranged in a very convenient manner, with all of the cardio machines set up facing the windows. Strength-training equipment is lined against the mirrored back wall, with medicine and stability balls off to the‚Ä®side.

You’ll notice a rolled white towel on each machine, there’s another pile on a shelf and chilled towels are available, too. Magazines are neatly arranged in a wood magazine bin on the floor of the gym next to a leather bench. Personal headsets are sealed in plastic bags and neatly arranged on a tray. Both bottled water and fruit-infused chilled water are available, and a bowl of fresh green apples and pears was on a counter at the entrance when we worked out recently.

The Waldorf Astoria Spa & Health Club Chicago is personalized luxury at its best. Situated above the open-air courtyard, the health club specializes in personalized services and overall well-being. It is fully equipped with a Pilates and Gyrotonic studio, lap pool, personal training, and a range of cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
