Orchids at Palm Court’s art deco style is reminiscent of an earlier age of dining in high style, but the dress code is slightly more relaxed. Diners would not feel out of place in black tie if the occasion called for it, as might be the case for those attending an afternoon wedding in the Hall of Mirrors at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza (which is home to Orchids). But the Cincinnati restaurant serves hotel guests who are welcome in more casual clothes as well. While there is no formal barring of shorts and t-shirts, the norm trends toward nice pants and collared shirts for men and skirts, dresses or slacks for women.
