Hearty as the savory pub grub at Golden Bee is, the selection of desserts tops it. Rich and gooey, the concoctions range from a hot fudge sundae topped with crumbled Heath bars and whipped cream and cinnamon-roll pudding with whiskey-macerated raisins and hard sauce for two to charmers such as a white-cheddar-spiced apple crumble à la mode and a beer-battered pound cake “sandwich” filled with apples and blackberries and topped off with bourbon sauce. Following the likes of cheddar-cheese soup and cottage pie, however, you’d be forgiven for sticking to the signature Irish coffee or another ESBee pint and calling it a night.
The Golden Bee’s desserts include traditional favorites, such as warm apple pie, cheesecake and fudge cake, as well as unique treats such as the “Scottish Delight,” a fried Mars bar with blackberry preserve and port sauce for dipping. Of course, The Golden Bee’s Irish coffee is always available for the perfect ending to a pub meal.
