Penrose Room’s dessert selection changes even more frequently than executive chef Bertrand Boquin’s tasting menus do, with the sweets lineup bending to the creative whims of the pastry chef as well as to the availability of seasonal fruits. So while the short answer is that there are not any signature desserts at this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant, it’s an open secret that you are welcome to make special requests in advance for one of three old Penrose Room favorites: soufflé, bananas Foster and cherries jubilee.
We think you’ll have no qualms about sinking into whatever dessert is on the menu when you visit, but at a minimum an assortment of ice creams and sorbets is always available, as is a supplemental cheese plate.
