Rooms at Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel are decidedly luxuriant, with a metropolitan flare. Décor throughout the property’s 376 rooms stays fairly consistent, with lots of red, orange and cream tones, dark wood and beds with cotton-rich linens and oversized tufted headboards. Marble countertops and Aveda products in the bathroom complete the higher-end feel. Rooms also feature an oversized ergonomic workspace, glass showers, mini-fridge, laptop-compatible safe, iHome clock radio and coffee maker.
Guests in rooms on the 18th through 21st floors have access to Club 21, the concierge lounge on the 21st floor that’s open Mondays through Fridays. There you can enjoy a hot breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres, as well as other snacks and drinks. Rooms on these floors also come with terrycloth robes and evening turndown service, enhancing comfort and relaxation that much more.
Of the Columbus hotel’s 32 suites, there are two presidential suites and three terrace suites. The former includes enormous separate living and dining areas and has the distinction of having housed both presidential candidates during the 2012 election season. The terrace suites each have a private patio with access to the rooftop pool and spa.
