When moguls like Steven Spielberg and David Geffen want to have a steak, they head to this venerable Hollywood institution. At this unpretentious classic Italian eatery, impeccable tuxedo-clad servers shuttle bottles of Chianti and platters of chicken Parmesan and veal scaloppini through a maze of red-and-white-checked tablecloths. Although the restaurant can get crowded and raucous, affluent diners don’t seem to mind the long wait or the impossible reservations because every customer is treated like a star here.
