Just one block north of the historic Sonoma Plaza, The Depot Hotel Cucina Rustica is located at the southern end of the Sonoma Valley. Housed in a historic plum stone building (1870), it was originally a hotel and, later, a saloon and private residence. The exterior features an attractive Italian Tuscan look, with beige stucco that supplements the stone, manicured continental landscaping, an Italian garden, and an appealing reflection pool. In keeping up with the cuisine—which is "country-style" northern Italian—the indoor décor features copper kitchenware, Italian dishware, a European tapestry, and an antique chandelier.
