The scene at The Rugby Grille is new because the restaurant inside The Townsend Hotel just underwent an interior design renovation led by architect Victor Saroki, FAIA, of Victor Saroki & Associates in Birmingham, Michigan, and Daniel Clancy, ASID, of Perlmutter-Freiwald Inc. Interior Design in Franklin, Michigan. The design maintains all of the restaurant’s original warmth and charm, but also boasts new Ralph Lauren herringbone tweed wall treatments, Ralph Lauren light fixtures, new rugs, upgraded classic leather dining chairs, new fine china and striking mid-century art by famed Spanish painter Joan Miró. The table settings are intimate and the revamped menus from executive chef Drew Sayes ensure you will enjoy a world-class food and wine experience here.
