The Rugby Grille serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on Sundays. The restaurant is open every day from 6:30 a.m. until midnight. Breakfast is served daily from 6:30 until 11 a.m., and the menu includes a traditional continental spread; the Townsend Breakfast with fresh juices, Swiss muesli with nuts and seasonal berries, two eggs and bacon with hash browns and a Townsend bakery basket; The Birmingham Spa Breakfast with fresh juice, fruits, yogurt, an egg-white frittata and bran muffin or toast. You’ll also find other standard morning choices, like steak and eggs, omelets, eggs Benedict and corned beef hash. Lunch is served Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features a menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, entrées and desserts. At dinner, available Sunday through Thursday, executive chef Drew Sayes offers appetizers like citrus-cured arctic char with leeks, Romanesco and pumpernickel crisps; and Wagyu carpaccio with ramps, beech mushrooms, arugula and potato crisps; as well as entrées like duck breast with choucroute, confit croquette and burnt orange gastrique; and Scottish salmon with cauliflower puree, beets and arugula pistou. Sunday brunch includes a variety of salads, sandwiches and entrées, as well as breakfast favorites like oatmeal, pancakes, cold cereals, French toast, Maryland crab cakes Benedict, egg-white frittatas, Belgian waffles, seasonal fruit and fresh baked goods.
