Seeing as you're on a coast, it's only right that you dine on seafood. And what better place to go than Dock's Oyster House? Started in 1897 by Harry "Dock" Dougherty, Atlantic City's oldest restaurant is known for serving the freshest of the fresh--soft-shell crab, lobster, and tuna as well as oysters are just a few selections that have made Dock's famous. An iced raw oyster bar is set up in the bar area, where oysters from both the East and West coasts are offered. The interior is traditional, with white walls, a wooden wainscoted ceiling, hanging lanterns, and burgundy banquettes lined along the walls. Tables are topped with crisp white tablecloths and napkins, and oversized glass with large oyster crackers awaits guests. The sounds of piano music, offered nightly, completes the dining experience.
