About Dubois, Wyoming:
On the Wind River, 56 miles from Grand Teton National Park, Dubois is surrounded on three sides by the Shoshone National Forest. The Wind River Reservation (Shoshone and Arapahoe) is a few miles east of town. Dubois, in ranching and dude ranching country, is a good vacation headquarters. There are plentiful rockhounding resources, and a large herd of Bighorn sheep roam within 5 miles of town. A Ranger District office of the Shoshone National Forest is located here.
