    Is Allegro a romantic restaurant?

Allegro has a festive and bubbling vibe, so the restaurant’s snap and pop make it a fun romantic experience. It may not be the place to whisper sweet nothings into someone’s ears, as they might not get heard over the sound of other diners and the nearby casino. But you’ll certainly see couples holding hands, giving each other loving glances over glasses of vino or feeding their dining companion bites of dessert. There were several appetizers and meals that were perfect for sharing including the home made pizza dishes. The dark reds of the walls set a romantic tone and comfortable chairs make Allegro the place for either a quick bite or a two-hour meal before moving onto the rest of your date night activities.

Does the menu at Allegro have seasonal dishes?

Allegro in Wynn Las Vegas doesn’t offer special seasonal dishes yet, but that might change as the restaurant grows. The high-end Italian headed by chef Enzo Febbraro is a relatively new addition to Wynn, replacing Stratta. Chef Febbraro  mentioned that he would expand the menu based on seasonally offered vegetables and fruits. Currently though, you can find nearly every season represented on the menu in dishes like the margherita pizza with summer tomatoes and basil and the veal Marsala with autumn mushrooms. With this chef in charge, it’s a safe bet that diners will be back to see what changes he makes to an already stellar menu.

Does Allegro offer any special gifts from the chef?

In many fine restaurants, you’ll find that the chef observes the tradition of sending a little edible gift known as an amuse bouche at the beginning of the meal — and Allegro in Wynn Las Vegas is no exception. This is chef Enzo Febbraro’s way of welcoming you to the restaurant and giving you a small taste of what’s to come. Febbraro is a warm, friendly presence who enjoys delighting his guests at Allegro, so he does offer special gifts to diners based on the situation and special occasions. When Forbes Travel Guide editors visited one Friday night, he offered tastes of the specially house-made burrata cheese plus a few bites of his baked lasagna Napoletana, which is made with Sunday meat ragu, meatballs and smoked mozzarella.

Are there any signature desserts at Allegro?

Allegro’s French pastry chef Pierre Gatel has plenty of signature creations on the menu for those with a sweet tooth, including their not-so-traditional tiramisu. It’s served in a large glass and the layers of mascarpone cheese and espresso-soaked ladyfingers are crowned with a patina of melt-in-your-mouth chocolate. It’s enough for two to indulge. But you might want to try one of the other signature desserts that are sure to satisfy, such as the coconut and strawberry tapioca, an updated version of the childhood dessert made with coconut milk and agave nectar. You can also order the classic Italian standby — a cannoli — made with sweet ricotta cheese, and candied citrus and chocolate shavings.

What is the cheese course like at Allegro?

As you might expect at a fine dining restaurant like Allegro, there’s a creative and well-edited selection of artisanal cheeses on offer. Many people start their meal with cheese, but at Allegro, we think the cheese course works best as a bridge between the savory courses and dessert. Chef Enzo Febbraro has created an amazing cheese course that reflects the restaurant’s Italian heritage. The mozzarella platter includes a section of delicious, housemade burrata that’s softer in the middle and firm on the edges. The platter  also features smoked provolone and sheep’s milk ricotta. You can add roasted peppers, mixed olives, roasted mushrooms and braised artichokes for an additional charge.

Does Allegro offer special menus for food allergies?

Allegro at Wynn Las Vegas doesn’t offer a special menu for food allergies. However, that doesn’t mean that chef Enzo Febbraro and his kitchen staff will leave people with dietary restrictions or food allergies to fend for themselves. Chef Febbraro is the type to frequently step out of the kitchen and ask diners if they have any special requests. The friendly, helpful waiters can also ask the chef to make any special tweaks that take care of food allergies. The menu is also expansive enough and offers dishes that are basic and free of accompaniments like dairy and gluten, such as the roasted pink snapper or the 16 oz. New York strip steak.
