What is Carnevale like at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino?

Carnevale at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino is a summer-long celebration of all things Italian, but with Vegas flair. The three middle months in Italy see festivals pop up all over the country, with revelers indulging in each region’s famous culture, food and wine. At The Palazzo and next door at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Carnevale happens between May 27 and September 8, and guests of both properties are privy to some exclusive experiences. Choose from around 300 events that include wine pairing dinners with chefs such as Curtis Stone from Top Chef (July 26-27), a pool party with barbecue from Emeril Lagasse and Sammy Hagar (June 8), a tasting of deep cabernets (July 25) and an afternoon drinking beer at Azure pool (August 17).

Guests of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel are given a Passaporto di Carnevale, which contains vouchers for up to $1,000 in deals at restaurants such as Table 10 and Public House, or upgrades to your seats at hit shows like Rock of Ages and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Looking to have a girls’ weekend? There’s the World’s Largest Bachelorette Party July 19-21 where you and your best girls can have one last wild Vegas-style weekend at Lavo, and at Tao and Tao Beach at sister property Venetian. While that may not be the most Italian thing you do during Carnevale, as long as you’re celebrating, it totally counts.

What is Carnevale like at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino?

Every summer, The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino goes back to the country that serves as its inspiration and holds Carnevale, a three-month celebration of food, fun and all things romantically Italian. Villages and cities throughout Italy celebrate Carnevale throughout the warmer months, and the largest, established in 1162 in none other than this tony property’s namesake, Venice, was considered one of the greatest festivals dedicated to Italian culture. In Las Vegas, Carnevale is held at both The Venetian and sister property The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino between May 27 and September 8, with some 300 experiences that center around entertainment, art, fashion, food and, of course, wine.

When you check into The Venetian at this time, you’ll be granted a Passaporto di Carnevale, which is a little booklet that is your ticket to the full-on Carnvale experience, filled with drink and restaurant coupons, and special discounts and entertainment specials valued at more than $1,000. With these vouchers, take advantage of deals like half-off magnum bottles of champagne at Tao Asian Bistro or a portion off your bill at one of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel’s other fantastic restaurants.

Little surprises throughout the property will greet you along the way, from a cavalcade of masked Carnevale characters in The Masquerade, a showcase of the artistry of the Italian festival, to live entertainment poolside, cooking classes, culinary demos and wine dinners hosted by celebrity chefs. You can even take your own self-guided wine walk between the two adjoining properties and sample some of the best Italian wines by the glass. If you’ve ever wanted to know what Italy’s like in the summer, Carnevale will show you.
