Majoring in French and Italian in college yielded some of the best food (in my own humble opinion) and vacations (everyone wants to travel with someone who’s fluent) that I could imagine. And as a Content Editor at Forbes Travel Guide, I’m able to focus on my passion for traveling and eating — with a refined palate, of course. I love to write about my adventures; it’s a way of telling my story. I seek out everything from marathons in cities I’ve never explored to restaurants off the beaten path. When I’m not eating my way through my world travels, I’m chatting with our Tastemakers to help tell their stories of travel, food and business.

What’s the best time to visit Four Seasons Hotel Toronto?

Being on the shores of Lake Ontario, winters can get bitter cold, but Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is a great spot to hole up and wait out the snowstorm. Located in the fashionable Yorkville neighborhood, the luxe hotel welcomes you with open arms no matter what time of year you visit. And don’t worry about lack of activity when the days get shorter. Toronto is the largest city in Canada and is always buzzing with fun.

Our Forbes Travel Guide editors love to visit during the summer when sidewalks and patios are overflowing and you can soak up the culture of Toronto. Summertime means street festivals and plenty to do in the great outdoors — think the Toronto Pride Festival in June and the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Like we said, checking in to the newest Four Seasons flagship hotel is great all year. It also doesn’t hurt that shopping in Yorkville is great no matter what the weather may bring.

What restaurants does Four Seasons Hotel Toronto have?

Making his Toronto debut, Forbes Travel Guide Tastemaker Daniel Boulud opened Café Boulud on the mezzanine level of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. This casual chic restaurant feels lofty and trendy as you overlook Yorkville Avenue and Bay Street. Serving up a unique menu inspired by chef Boulud’s culinary muses — la tradition, la saison, le potager and le voyage — this Toronto restaurant offers a divine marriage of contemporary and classic French cuisine.

If you’re looking for something a bit more casual, head to dbar just below Café Boulud. The street-level lounge serves a delightful spin on your typical bar menu. You’ll find bar snacks such as herbed falafel, as well as selections from the charcuterie. You can even make a meal out of it and order up larger dishes such as a grilled half lobster or a banh mi sandwich.

Where is Four Seasons Hotel Toronto located?

After shutting its doors in March 2012, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto packed up its bags and checked in to the sleek 55-story tower in October 2012. Surrounded by the swanky Yorkville neighborhood, the flagship Four Seasons hotel features 259 rooms stocked with state-of-the-art technology. The modern hotel is located at 60 Yorkville Ave. in Toronto and boasts the city’s largest urban spa, as well as the first Four Seasons Spa in town.

But don’t let the ultra-modern façade fool you; Four Seasons Toronto features the hotel group’s signature residential design that puts you at ease the moment you check in. And the surrounding area just adds to the charm. The exclusive Yorkville neighborhood makes for a great afternoon stroll, as you pass by boutiques, art galleries and restaurants.
