What is the design style of Hotel Okura Macau?

Designed by Japanese architect Kanko Kikaku Sekkisha, Hotel Okura Macau is a blend of subtle Asian touches with modern, functional style. The ambience created is an inviting haven of peace in the middle of the bustling Galaxy Macau, an entertainment, shopping and hotel complex in the Cotai Strip, Asia’s answer to Las Vegas. Guest rooms feature traditional elements, such as lanterns and lattice windows, and are done in serene neutral shades. They are filled with natural elements and textures associated to Japan, such as wood, stone and silk. The result is an elegant and refined environment where no detail has not being carefully thought through.

What is the design style of Galaxy Hotel?

Galaxy Hotel in mega-complex Galaxy Macau displays a design style that’s fresh, modern and Asian while quite luxurious. The decor sets an upscale Chinese mood through the use of a shimmering color palette of gold, tan and cream accented by traditional Asian motifs. What is the scene like at Terrazza?

The scene at Terrazza, the signature restaurant of Galaxy Hotel in Macau, is classy but casual. Unlike other dining and drinking establishments in the Galaxy Macau complex, the main clientele at Terrazza are local neighborhood residents. Children are allowed to come enjoy Tuscan cuisine with their parents at Terrazza. The restaurant also attracts an international leisure clientele and VIP gamers. Whether for a family meal, a romantic date or a smart-but-relaxed business dinner, Terrazza restaurant is best enjoyed when you have a couple of hours to indulge. We think it’s fun to linger by the open kitchen and watch the chefs preparing their creative Italian fare. But if you’re in a rush, Terrazza’s delicious and tasty pizzas can be ordered and served in no time either in Terrazza or at Macallan Whisky Bar & Lounge.

How do I get a reservation at Terrazza?

Although walk-in diners are very welcome at Terrazza in the Galaxy Hotel, it’s still a good idea to book a table at the Tuscan-inspired restaurant in advance, especially during weekends and busy holiday seasons. If you’re staying at any of Galaxy Macau's hotels (Galaxy HotelHotel Okura Macau or Banyan Tree Macau), a simple call to your concierge is the easiest way to make a reservation. Most of the dishes at Terrazza are made à la minute like tortellini alla caprese with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, prosciutto, olie oil and basil or the whole sea bream in a salt crust for two, which is finished in gueridon service style at your table.

What is the dress code at Terrazza?

The dress code for Terrazza, the signature Italian restaurant in Macau’s Galaxy Hotel, can best be described as smart casual. Since Galaxy Hotel in particular and the Cotai Strip in general attract a well-heeled clientele from Asia and abroad, expect to see men in suits or dress shirts and slacks while women will be wearing the latest fashions. The convenient location of Galaxy Macau and the proximity to Cotai Strip and the Macau peninsula make it easy for you to end your dinner at Terrazza and then continue the night. We suggest you visit The Macallan Whisky Bar & Lounge or Galaxy’s own exclusive 1930s Shanghai-inspired nightclub CHINA ROUGE, where you can enjoy refined and exquisite cabaret-style entertainment alternated with a live band playing both Cantonese/Chinese and international music.
