What is the best way to get an appointment at Spa Atlantis?

The best way to get an appointment at Spa Atlantis is to call 775-954-4135 or visit www.atlantiscasino.com/spa. The spa menu, spa specials and packages, and information on poolside cabanas can also be found at this website. Guests who have in-depth questions about spa treatments or general questions about the spa’s age requirement — which is 18 — or facility should make a reservation by telephone so that the staff can answer those questions. And since the spa’s treatment schedule fills quickly, it is best to make an appointment several days in advance, even if you haven’t yet checked into Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

    When is Bistro Napa open?

Bistro Napa, which is located inside of Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, is open from 4 to 6 p.m. daily in the bar and lounge for Social Hour and from 5 to 10 p.m. nightly in the bar and lounge or dining room for dinner.

The Social Hour features small plates like wood-fired baby artichokes and Wagyu beef sliders to Greek- and Margherita-style flatbreads to wines by the glass, specialty cocktails and other spirits. What is the dress code at Bistro Napa?

The dress code at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa’s Bistro Napa is casual, as it is at many restaurants in Reno and at Lake Tahoe. It’s not unusual, especially in summer, to see some diners in shorts and flip-flops. That said, Bistro Napa is a fine dining restaurant, one where many elegantly dressed locals gather before and after Atlantis-sponsored charity events, and so vulgar attire (such as T-shirts with inappropriate wording) isn’t permitted. People just in from a day of hiking, biking or lounging by the pool probably also would feel underdressed. Just back from a round of golf, on the other hand? You’ll fit right in.

    Where is Bistro Napa located?

Bistro Napa is located inside Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. What is the dress code at Atlantis Steakhouse?

The dress code at Atlantis Steakhouse, which is located inside of Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, varies. Shorts and loafers or jeans and sandals aren’t unknown at Atlantis Steakhouse, especially for diners who drop by the bar for a drink and a bite with friends (or acquaintances they make at the bar). But given the atmosphere created by the restaurant’s stylish look, its prices (up to $70 for the largest chop), and a phalanx of wait staff, most diners dress at least in business casual or cocktail attire.

The restaurant also is popular with couples, and they tend to dress up more, too. In winter, you’ll see the occasional fur coat, and in any season, evening or formal wear would not be out of place.

What is the scene like at Atlantis Steakhouse?

The scene at Atlantis Resort Casino Spa’s Atlantis Steakhouse is a sociable one. Steakhouses are often thought of as business restaurants brimming with businessmen (and cue the cigars, if only smoking laws would allow). Atlantis Steakhouse is a modern steakhouse, and if anything, it’s a social restaurant, complete, on some nights, with air kisses and table hopping.

There are business types and couples, groups of family and friends, and special-occasion diners out to splurge. Solo travelers often sit at the roomy bar where it’s easy to strike up a conversation. And some of the wealthiest people in Reno are customers of Atlantis Steakhouse, feeling comfortable enough to bring out the big watches, the jewelry and that little something from Valentino.

Atlantis Steakhouse celebrates, in a welcoming way, the pleasures of good food, good drink and good company — and the means to enjoy them.

How do I get a reservation at Atlantis Steakhouse?

If you’d like to make a reservation at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa’s Atlantis Steakhouse, call 775-824-4411 or visit www.atlantiscasino.com/dining. Menus also can be found on the website.

The restaurant can accommodate at least 140 diners across its main dining room and smaller back dining room, plus more in the bar, which means it’s often possible to drop in without a reservation and successfully request a table. Moreover, the front of house staff takes great pride in meeting such requests. All that said, if you want to dine at a specific time, it’s best to make a reservation, especially on weekends or if your party is large.

In the main dining room, enormous booths line either wall, and they can’t be moved, but the tables in the middle area can be arranged in many combinations to suit parties of different sizes.

What’s the best time to visit Atlantis Casino Resort Spa?

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa typically maintains high occupancy rates throughout the year so the best time to visit is truly dependent upon the needs of each guest. The high season for the resort is summer into fall, especially early August through September when annual events such as Hot August Nights (a classic car celebration), Great Reno Balloon Race and the National Championship Air Races and Air Show come to town. The week from Christmas through New Year’s Day also is busy. The property is usually less busy after the first of the year into spring, but it doesn’t have a true slow season.

What are the rooms like at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa?

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa offers 824 contemporary rooms and suites in four towers: Concierge, Luxury, Atrium and Dolphin. Standard rooms are 375 square feet; suites for top gaming customers range up to 5,000 square feet and feature living rooms nearly large enough to play tennis. More than 90 percent of rooms are non-smoking. Nine-foot ceilings are standard, though some rooms have 10-foot ceilings. Rooms and suites have either Reno city views or vistas of the Sierra Nevada mountains to the west. And with every few floors in each tower, the lobby décor changes.

All rooms and suites feature appealing amenities such as marble and tiled entries, full-length mirrors, vanities, original art, connectivity launch pads, Wi-Fi (included in the resort fee), specialty pillows from the pillow menu, rich woods and leathers, curved shower rods so the shower feels roomier, and curtains custom-woven from raw silk and other materials. Rooms on the tranquil spa’s third floor are typically reserved for adults and include yoga mats and exclusive spa robes. Ask for one of the six spa rooms with a patio on the outdoor pool deck.

Concierge Tower rooms include robes, digital safes, Rainforest Alliance certified coffee, butler service upon request, and access to the Concierge Lounge offering complimentary breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres, Friday night sushi (think California rolls), and shoe shines. Luxury Tower and deluxe rooms and suites also have flat-screen TVs in the main room and bathroom, and are equipped with Jacuzzis (some fitting up to eight people). Oversized windows in the Luxury Tower give “a room with a view” an entirely new meaning.

What is the style of Spa Atlantis?

The style of Spa Atlantis is one you’d find in other contemporary spas. Guests should expect to see lots of tan and brown hues mixed in with mahogany furnishings throughout. As where some spas feel almost clinical, Spa Atlantis does not. Low lighting, natural materials and a location utterly removed from the casino floor create a mellow mood.

Staffers are exceedingly friendly (and extremely attentive to details such as making sure that bottled water is always arranged in the shape of a triangle). On one recent visit, staff members gave impromptu tours to people curious about treatment rooms they hadn’t yet experienced. Staffers also are welcoming with small but significant touches such as offering guests a cup of organic tea in the locker room or presenting spa clients with chilled face towels should they appear hot.
