How do I get a reservation at Raya?

Though reservations are not strictly required for dining at Raya in The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, they’re quick and easy to obtain. Raya’s stunning pan-Latin cuisine makes its quite popular, but because the restaurant is so perfectly located high on bluff, every table offers an ocean view. Seating is open at breakfast, so try to snag a window-side table to watch the surfers swarm the ocean while you enjoy your spicy chorizo and egg huarache (scrambled eggs, corn pico de gallo, sliced avocado and tomato, Oaxacan cheese). Reservations are accepted for lunch.

Reserving a table in advance is a good idea at dinner, when there’s likely to be the most demand for the tables that line the windows. You may request a window table when you make a reservation and the staff will do its best to accommodate you, but it's not guaranteed. To reserve a table, call 949-240-2000, visit The Ritz-Carlton website or book through www.ritzcarlton.com/LagunaRaya. The Orange County restaurant also has a private dining room that seats 16 that can be reserved for groups.

What is the dress code at Raya?

The dress code at Raya in The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is resort casual. Shorts, T-shirts and sandals are fine at this ocean-view restaurant, especially during the day. But you'll have to change out of your bathing suit, or at least cover it up, even though you can see the beach from your table. In the evening, diners, who might include local residents, executives and hotel guests, tend to dress up at the Orange County restaurant. It’s not uncommon to see people wearing suits and dresses on weekend date nights. Though jeans and casual attire are permitted, we think the cuisine, service and setting make Raya a place where you’ll want to dress for dinner.

    Where is Raya located?

Raya is located at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, just off the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. If you’re driving, you’ll find the luxury hotel at the end of Niguel Road in Dana Point, Calif., just southwest of the city of Laguna Niguel. Parking is valet only, and the hotel offers discounts with validation. You'll find Raya on the third level of the hotel, at the far end of the lobby, just past enoSTEAK restaurant and to the left of Bar Raya. The third level is actually the main entrance, as the hotel is set into an ocean bluff. Raya has a prime location overlooking the beach and the Pacific Ocean; there’s no better place to view a Southern California sunset.
