Osman Ikanovic’s hospitality career began at Four Seasons Hotel Houston, where he was hired as a houseman after arriving in the U.S. from war-torn Bosnia in 1998. He fell in love with the hotel and the industry, studied hard to master English idioms and, in six months, became a concierge. In 2003, Ikanovic accepted the chef concierge position at InterContinental Hotel Houston; he and his team stayed on after the hotel became a Royal Sonesta in 2012, and he’s currently working on the concierge program for the Sonesta Collection.
