Mills was previously assistant manager of the Mayfair Hotel. Working primarily as the night manager, she supervised all front desk, security, room service and housekeeping staff on duty. She joined the hotel as a management trainee in 1994 upon arriving to New York from London. Mills launched her career at The Savoy Hotel in 1989, where she rose from junior cashier to banqueting sales executive during her five-year tenure at the historic London hotel. She has been immersed in the hospitality industry since childhood, working at her parents’ hotel in Wales from the age of 10.
