Fat Olives is a wonderful blend of urban chic and Alaskan informality. The restaurant is filled with warm Mediterranean colors, polished granite table tops, live plants, and a stylish wooden bar back. And yet, the floors are concrete, the walls cinderblock, and the atmosphere ultra-relaxed. The focal point of the restaurant is its wood-fired oven, used to cook everything except the specialty 28” pizzas, which are so large they have to be baked in a traditional pizza oven.
