The modern version of Bugsy Siegel’s dream is one of the more underrated resorts—there’s a plaque for him on the property but otherwise the place hardly resembles what the felled gangster had when he was murdered 60 years ago. The theme and décor is tropical, and near the pool is a 15-acre wildlife garden where pink flamingos and other birds flop around. The pool area itself is a kids’ favorite, with slides and waterfalls galore.
