Set in a modern townhouse on the Upper East Side, Geisha is seafood whiz kid
Eric Ripert’s inspired translation of Japanese cuisine. While he is still manning the
stoves at Le Bernardin, here at Geisha, his love affair with seafood is in full bloom.
Dishes include coconut-marinated fluke with coconut ponzu, lime vinaigrette and
orange essence, bowls of tiger shrimp dumplings with toasted pumpkin in a green
curry broth and dishes of day boat cod with warm pepper and snow pea salad in soy
ginger
butter—not to mention chic platters of sushi, sashimi and signature rolls prepared
by a pair of seriously skilled sushi chefs.
