A beacon of relaxation overlooking Geneva

If you plan to shop the luxury boutiques along Geneva’s Rue du Rhône, make sure to put the nearby Spa Mont Blanc at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva on your agenda.
Sitting on the top three floors of the hotel, Spa Mont Blanc is a beacon of luxury overlooking Lake Geneva, Old Town and the Alps that surround the city. After three years of renovation, the 30,000-square-foot spa offers Swiss hospitality in the most lavish of settings.
While the hotel has been a fixture in the city, the spa is a newcomer. Dating to 1834, the city’s first hotel was painstakingly renovated and reopened in 2005 as a Four Seasons property. During its most recent renovation, the hotel added suites to its presidential collection, a rooftop terrace and restaurant, as well as the spa, which debuted in 2013.
The elegant reception area, with its contemporary chandelier and Gucci chairs, is awash with natural light, thanks to the multitude of windows showcasing the view over Geneva.
But the place to linger is the spa’s inviting library, just off the reception. With more than 5,000 titles, a fireplace, custom-made leather chairs by Poltrona Frau and a glass-domed ceiling, this is an excellent place to relax with a book, drink or light meal.
Don’t miss the top floor. The rooftop indoor heated pool and separate vitality pool are covered in skylights, which make you feel like you’re swimming outdoors. Adjacent loungers face a bank of windows that offer panoramas of Old Town.
The 1,000-square-foot gym is open 24 hours a day and includes stretching mats, fitness balls and weights, as well as state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength machines from Technogym and Matrix. One-on-one training sessions are also available by request.
Designed using natural elements and soothing neutral tones, the Geneva spa has seven large treatment rooms, including a deluxe spa suite featuring a private hammam.
Even if you don’t book the suite, you still have access to a hammam; the spa provides separate men and women’s facilities coated in stunning Turkish marble and have adjoining steam rooms. For those looking to chill out, there is an ice room.
Nail care and hair removal services are also available in the luxury spa, as well as a full-service hair salon. Continue the tranquility post-treatment with fruit-infused waters and fruit in the dimly lit relaxation room.
Designed to revitalize, refresh and rejuvenate, all facials begin with an in-depth skin analysis. Look to the VIP O2 Oxygenating Facial for a combination of micro-exfoliation, oxygenation and bio-energy massages. Using products by Swiss Perfection, the Premium Facials menu features treatments such as the Cellular Eye Contour or Cellular Neck and Décolleté (which are also available as add-ons to other services).
Ranging from 50 to 80 minutes, massages include a welcoming foot ritual and sensory aroma test. The Swiss massage invigorates, while the Re-Energizing option uses acupuncture and light stretching. Employing two therapists, the Four Hand Massage is the ultimate in pampering. Add the salt and oil scrub or head massage to round out the relaxation experience.
Spa Rituals are signature treatments that have been specially designed for Spa Mont Blanc. Simply luxurious, they combine body services and facials and utilize products by ESPA and Swiss Perfection. Meant to firm and define, there are a variety of slimming treatments, including a 110-minute Anti-Cellulite Wrap by Swiss Perfection.
