This popular Sonoma County restaurant is located on the ground floor of the historic Sonoma Hotel (see). It is connected to the lobby but can also be entered directly off the street. Although located in a historic property, the décor is attractively contemporary, with a color palette primarily of lime and pale yellow, and the atmosphere is that of a French bistro. Appealing modern art adorns the walls, and a large wine storage cabinet covers the rear wall. Local produce is emphasized on the menu, which features a three-course "plat du jour." At the rear of the lounge is a "salon de fromage"—essentially a cheese bar—with local wine country food products for sale.
