The Grafton is known for its scenester Boa Steakhouse, where the
folks behind L.A.’s Japanese favorites Sushi-Roku and Katana (a worthwhile trip
across the street) serve classic American fare with a twist. And Sunday is “Wine
Lovers Night,” so guests can relish bottles of vino for half price. Of course, the
Strip itself offers endless bars and restaurants ranging from Asia de Cuba to
cheesy but star-filled Ketchup. A rehab gave the hotel some pizzazz, including lively
décor such as zebra-printed Italian bedding, oversized photographic prints and a
heated saltwater pool (which means no need for toxic chlorine). The Grafton’s long,
enclosed pool area is a great place to lounge, especially late at night, when all the
Sunset haunts have closed (usually by 2 a.m.).
