Overlooking Monterey Bay in beautiful Pacific Grove, this oceanfront Queen Anne Victorian mansion (1888) is the perfect place to watch the majestic gray whales migrating through the bay. Formerly a retreat for the Methodist church, the inn retains the character and charm with florals dominating the interiors. A carousel horse, teddy bears in each guest room, mahoghany furniture, and fresh-baked cookies create a warm atmosphere. Although the inn tries to keep with the Victorian theme, some modern conveniences include TVs and VCRs, modern bathrooms, and some shared bathrooms.
