Hua Spa

Guangzhou's sanctuary in the sky
VERIFIED LUXURY
A sanctuary in the sky awaits at Hua Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou. Located on the 69th floor, one flight below but well removed from the bustle of the hotel, this refuge offers a range of body, skin, thermal and water treatments to relax, rejuvenate and revive your body and mind. Quick fixes, half-day rituals and custom packages are all available.

Chances are, you’ll be worlds away while your therapist (or therapists, if you opt for the indulgent Four Hands Massage) kneads, scrubs and showers you with pampering, professional service.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• Modern, understated luxury surrounds you as soon as you step foot inside of the peaceful spa.

• Filled with clean-lined, contemporary design, the den of marble and stone has a neutral gray and white scheme warmed up with peachy blush, muted green and glowing gold that add subdued, flattering color.

• Natural light enters treatment rooms through floor-to-ceiling windows, and indirect lighting casts a warm glow in the evenings.

• Paneling on the treatment room walls adds a subtle Chinese touch, and blossoms etched in the stone floor establish a natural element, all the while echoing the Guangzhou spa’s name: “Hua,” which means “flower.”

• With a wide variety of massage styles on the menu, it’s easy to find your bliss within the gorgeous facility.
Things to Know
• Whether you want a full day of pampering or a quick massage to help you get through the jet lag, you’ll need to call to make an appointment.

• Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., perfect for the ever-busy business traveler.

• If you’re on the go, the relatively speedy De-Stress Head Massage delivers relief where you need it most: the head, neck, shoulders and face.

• Carefully chosen skincare products from some of the most respected brands in the business are used in the treatments at the spa. London-based Aromatherapy Associates, Spanish-made Ainhoa and the innovative French brand Biologique Recherche are just a few of the luxury lines featured.
The Treatments
• The Four Seasons Aroma Crystal Massage is a 90-minute treat where the therapist uses yellow turquoise crystal stones that are believed to heighten intuition, creativity and wisdom.

• Lomi lomi is a 90-minute Hawaiian-style massage that employs flowing strokes to encourage the release of emotional energy that is stored all over the body.

• In Healing Stones, deep-heated stones and warm oil bring stress relief and improved circulation.

• For Personal Remedy, you choose your own essential oil, pick the length of your treatment and tell your therapist where it hurts. This one is all about you.

• The Oriental restores your chi with 60 or 90 minutes of traditional Chinese massage that uses acupressure and kneading.
The Facilities
• You can begin and end your experience in the deluxe marble locker rooms that are equipped with steam room and sauna.

• From there, proceed down the cool stone floor to one of nine luxurious treatment rooms, three of which are designed with couples in mind.

• Each room is fitted with its own private shower and steam bath, plus a fantastic view of the city through floor-to-ceiling windows — not that your eyes will be open long, though.
