With three locations close to each other by the Las Vegas Strip, Hamada of Japan must be doing something right. Sure, it might play into the Japanese stereotypes of what a Japanese restaurant looks like, in addition to pushing specialty cocktails with names like “Geisha” and “Banzai,” but they definitely do traditional Japanese cuisine well, if not a little kitschy. Favorites such as teriyakis, tempura and sushi dinners are popular, and special platters groaning under the weight of seafood or shabu shabu prepared tableside can be ordered for two or more to share. With private, low-seated tatami rooms and teppanyaki dinner grilled tableside, Hamada of Japan is great for groups who want to have a good time during their meal, at a decent
price point.
