Reservations are strongly recommended for the 184-seat ʻUlu Ocean Grill + Sushi Lounge at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, and they should be made at least a few weeks in advance in order to guarantee a table. During the peak winter months, you might even want to book dinner reservations months ahead of your slated visit. You can make reservations the day of, but you do run the risk of having to wait hours for a table. Don’t despair if you’re unable to secure one of the ocean-side tables, though; the full dinner menu is also available at the bar, a lively spot that provides spectacular ocean views in its own right. Resort guests can make reservations through the hotel’s concierge. Those staying elsewhere on island can also make reservations online through OpenTable.com or by calling the resort directly at 808-325-8000. It’s always a good idea to call ahead for a table if you’re not staying at the resort because the entire property, including ʻUlu and the other restaurants, is occasionally closed to the public due to private events.
