A riverside location makes the Cambridge Hyatt one of the chain’s most distinctive
Boston-area properties (though not as convenient to downtown); its unique
ziggurat-shaped exterior rises grandly from the edge of the Charles. Inside it’s
mostly frills-free, but guests have the choice of rooms that face the interior atrium
or ones with exterior views. Opt for the latter, especially if you can face the river and
have a balcony; from upper floors there are excellent views of the Boston skyline.
Amenities are fairly basic, but the rooms do have the chain’s signature Hyatt Grand
Bed, which almost guarantees a good night’s rest.
