When you step into this authentic Moroccan restaurant decorated with tapestry-covered walls and low tables with low-backed seating on one side and pillows on the floor for the other side, you remove your shoes. You are offered the menu (the prixe fixe meal consists of soup, salad, appetizer, main course, dessert, and mint tea), then you are presented with a bath towel--your napkin--to drape over your left shoulder. Next, an urn of water is brought to wash your hands. When your food is presented, you are asked whether you would like to eat with your right hand (customary) or with silverware. After eating, the urn is brought back so you can wash your hand, and then the waitstaff sprinkles your hand with rose water to refresh it. The entire dining experience last 2 1/2 to 3 hours, and the nightly entertainment is belly dancers. This is a truly unique dining experience that should not be missed.
