Jason Denton honed his skills at Mario Batali’s first hit restaurant, Po, and decided to branch off on his own and open a little nook of a wine and panini bar in the West Village--lucky for us. His itty-bitty Italian wine bar (eight tables for dining and seven seats at the wine bar) is open from breakfast until late at night, serving a mouthwatering selection of pressed sandwiches and an extensive and reasonably priced list of Italian wines by the glass. Don’t miss the signature truffled egg toast, a delicious snack anytime of the day. The rustic Italian décor features an exposed brick wall and rough-hewn wood floors, very simple in design and ambience.
