The Ivy is a Los Angeles institution, and we’re not just saying that because Paris, La Lohan and Ashlee Simpson are seen leaving here all the time. The restaurant is located on a strip of Robertson Boulevard that’s home to some of the most unique boutiques in the city, which is why you’ll often spot paparazzi trolling the sidewalk for a glimpse of the latest “It girls” as they power-lunch over salads and cocktails (and not much else). Despite the circus, the Ivy maintains a surprisingly laid-back ambiance, complete with a white picket fence surrounding the patio, which is adorned with flowers that the owners grow in their gardens at home. Scenes be damned, we’ll keep coming back if just for the melt-in-your-mouth lobster ravioli, which co-owner and executive chef Richard Irving makes by hand every day.
