19 Rooms / 1 Suite
Situated on a hill overlooking the Kennebunk River is the romantic Captain Lord Mansion, a 20-room bed and breakfast with all the luxury amenities of a full-service resort. The Captain Lord Mansion was built between 1812 and 1814 by the Lord family and bought in 1978 by innkeepers Bev Davis and Rick Litchfield with the idea of turning the property into a working bed and breakfast.
All the guest rooms here are different, which makes each stay so unique every time you check in. If you plan to visit The Captain Lord Mansion during the summer months, you’ll find yourself exploring the nearby streets and seaside docks, filled with small boutiques, food shacks and antique stores. And in the winter months, cuddle up by the fireplace in your guest room and keep warm with a cup of hot coffee or savor a glass of wine during a romantic night in.
There’s a small spa in the basement of the inn and if you’re interested in a service, just ask the receptionist to help make an appointment for you. Davis and Litchfield are what make this property feel like home. They meet each guest with a smile, handshake or hug, inviting them into their home and showing off all the little touches that make this bed and breakfast a Kennebunkport icon.
