Room service is available at Blackberry Farm for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. Choose from several entrées, including the Farmstead Continental Breakfast, which comes with fresh fruit, grain and nut cereal, yogurt and pastries. Other breakfast options include biscuits and gravy, a biscuit egg sandwich, griddle cakes of the day, bacon and cheddar cheese omelet and eggs prepared any style. All breakfast entrees are accompanied by a choice of bacon, ham or sausage.
The midday menu is offered between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. We particularly liked the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel's daily gourmet boxed lunch, which includes a sandwich, two side items and a dessert. The midday menu entrée selection also includes a pimento cheeseburger with hand cut French fries, macaroni and cheese, or a salad of field greens with cheese croutons and apple cider vinaigrette. For a light taste of the South, try the pimento cheese, cornmeal lavish, fried black-eye peas and vegetable crudité plate.
The luxury Tennessee hotel's dinner menu is offered from 6 to 10 p.m. Entrées include pimento cheeseburger with hand-cut French fries and the grilled beef rib-eye served with mashed potatoes and roasted carrots and onions. The menu also includes wood-fired braised chicken served with garden root vegetables, and shrimp and grits served with tomato relish and wilted greens.
Delicious desserts include chocolate silk pie, seasonal fruit crisp and vanilla ice cream, chocolate chip-pecan cookies or a seasonal fruit bowl.
