It’s impossible to separate cuisine from culture at this
romantic, Persian-themed dining spot. The interior is dotted
with old maps and artifacts from Iran, making it seem
somewhat out of place along the cobblestoned streets of
Beacon Hill. Nevertheless, owners (and siblings) Babak Bina
and Azita Bina-Seibel have created a homey spot to serve
Azerbaijan-style cuisine from the northwest corner of Iran.
Bina-Seibel loves to dish out slow-roasted meats, smoky spices and pickled accompaniments. Decadent cream sauces bring inventive
flavors to heart-warming native dishes like Addas Pollo (fork-tender veal sitting atop
Basmati rice sweetened by dates, currants and caramelized onion). We couldn’t
leave without sampling the bite-sized Baklavettes, which resulted in sticky fingers
and a thoroughly sated sweet tooth.
